RIC FLAIR VS RICKY STEAMBOAT COLLECTION (Years ago, I made a compilation of the Flair/Steamboat feud. That comp was well-received - and even Ricky Steamboat ended up with a copy. I did the best I could with the footage available at the time and feel like it came out well. This compilation, done by friend Bix, blows that one away. Everything about it is better - video quality, the depth, everything. If you're a fan of either guy, even if you've seen all the big matches between the two, you owe it to yourself to pick this up. Quality is at least VG on everything, with one exception, with nearly everything being VG/EX or EX. Great stuff!)
Ric Flair vs Ricky Steamboat, Mid-Atlantic, 6/15/77 (Slightly JIP - Steamboat wins the Mid-Atlantic TV title) Ric Flair vs Ricky Steamboat, Mid-Atlantic, 1977 (Film clips - Flair uses brass knux to pin Steamboat but it's too far into the match to win the TV title. I hate that stipulation.) Ric Flair & Masked Superstar vs Ricky Steamboat & Paul Jones, Mid-Atlantic, 1977/78 (Film JIP - Incredible crowd heat for this one) Ric Flair vs Ricky Steamboat, Mid-Atlantic, 1978 (Film clip - no finish) Ric Flair vs Ricky Steamboat, Mid-Atlantic, 1977/78 (Film JIP w/audio warble) Ric Flair vs Ricky Steamboat, Mid-Atlantic, 1970s (Film clips - Flair gets DQ'ed for hitting Steamboat in the throat) Ric Flair vs Ricky Steamboat, Mid-Atlantic, 1979/80 (Film clips w/no finish) Ric Flair vs Ricky Steamboat, Mid-Atlantic, 1978 (Film clips w/no finish) Ric Flair vs Ricky Steamboat, Mid-Atlantic, 1978/79 (Film JIP - Flair hits a clothesline! Steamboat uses PUNCHES! What is this world coming to! There's either a heel ref or a heel guest ref as he shoves Flair out of Steamboat's way and also does a fast count.) Ric Flair vs Ricky Steamboat, Mid-Atlantic, 1978/79 (Film JIP - this may possibly be a title switch with Steamboat winning the US title after a match restart. Not sure.) Ric Flair vs Ricky Steamboat, Mid-Atlantic, 1979(?) (Film Clip w/no finish) Ric Flair & Masked Superstar vs Ricky Steamboat & Blackjack Mulligan, 1978 (Elimination Tag - Film JIP - Flair & Steamboat both job cleanly in this one. Mulligan is in the Cobra Clutch, the ref counts 2, Mulligan doesn't kick out and the ref stops counting anyway!) Ric Flair vs Ricky Steamboat, Mid-Atlantic, 1978/79 (Film JIP) Ric Flair vs Ricky Steamboat, Mid-Atlantic, 1978/79 (Andre the Giant is the guest ref - Film clips) Ric Flair/Ricky Steamboat Feud Re-Cap, Mid-Atlantic, 12/31/78 (Audio is out-of-sync for this one; includes a clip of Flair dragging Steamboat's face on the floor and Steamboat slapping Flair) Ric Flair & Ernie Ladd vs Ricky Steamboat & Dino Bravo, Mid-Atlantic, 3/12/79 (Silent film clips) Ric Flair vs Ricky Steamboat, All Japan, 6/4/82 (Steamboat does the clean job here and shakes Flair's hand after) RIC FLAIR VS RICKY STEAMBOAT, NWA, 5/29/84 (Fantastic match from the NWA's Night of Champions show at the Meadowlands. That gives you the best possible VQ for the match and also the original intros and music. Nice! They tease an "oh no, not another Flair screwjob" with this one as the ref gets KO'ed and a sub counts the fall. Only this time the fall actually counts!)
